Help With Transportation

Dear Friends:

At this time of year, we think often about what's important to us... important enough to protect it. We are thankful for what matters most. Quite often, this is family.

I am thankful that, with your help, for almost 22 years the Peg Taylor Center has provided a refuge for our clients and their families at their most dificult time. With your loyal support, we have been able to care for our clients, whether they lived a block away or in a distant part of our county, by bringing them to our center.

When care is desperately needed, transportation to reach that needed care is the most essential service we provide. Without your generous contributions to our Transportation Fund, our clients would lose what matters most at this critical time in their lives-loving support that allows them to continue living at home and with their families.

As they arrive at the Peg Taylor Center each morning, our clients find a warmth and well-being that soothes their illness and despair. They find compassion and appreciation. And most importantly, they draw support from one another. Whether we are young or old, sharing truly lightens the burden of poor health. It's about sharing skills and compassion when our nurses gently care for our clients to ensure they stay stronger. It's about honoring age and determination as our physical therapist quietly encourages an 88-year-old woman with severe arthritis to exercise so she can continue to walk. And when each of our clients heads back through our doors at the end of the day to board the bus and go home, it's about sharing and supporting independence for as long as we can.

In this season of gratitude, we want to thank you for al I of your support for the Peg Taylor Center's Transportation Fund. Without your help, our clients would be stranded. Instead, we can make magic through your gift by offering one of the most valuable experinces in life: a way to keep living at home.
